Rebecca McDonald has served over three decades in international humanitarian efforts for women and children at risk in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South America, the Caribbean and the United States, traveling to over 60 countries and working in more than 50. She has designed or assisted in developing international programs including micro-lending projects, vocational training programs, social enterprises, and other humanitarian efforts. In 2006, she founded Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int’l) to meet the growing demand among Americans for involvement in these programs, especially those that address human trafficking. Women At Risk, International strives to create circles of protection around women and children by uniting others to embrace, educate, and empower those at risk, both globally and locally. Rebecca McDonald is a president, speaker, and consultant, regularly presenting to government agencies, legal and health care professionals, private universities, social work organizations, and faith-based organizations on nonprofit/social enterprise development and human trafficking, as well as other risk issues.
