Since 2009, Luke 9:2 Ministries has provided long-term medical care, clean water, and pastoral training to over 20 under-served communities in Honduras. The Ministry provides salary support and medications to our Tegucigalpa-based physician delivering acute care and chronic disease management. We organize biannual medical mission trips for volunteer medical and dental professionals to work alongside our local physician to evaluate patients, provide medications and fit eyeglasses free of charge. We seek to improve community health by installing safe-water chlorination and filtration systems purchased from WaterStep International, training local Hondurans to operate/maintain the systems, and teaching health-and-hygiene classes to local children. Finally, we administer a three-year pastoral training program for local Honduran pastors enabling them to earn a Diploma in Practical Theology while gaining leadership skills and discipleship.
Our next medical/dental mission trip is January 17-24, 2020. For more information on volunteering to serve on one of our trips, please contact us at info@luke9-2ministries.org or visit our website at www.luke9-2ministries.org.
