Children at Risk Empowered
C.A.R.E. Africa was started in 2014 in Egbe, Nigeria by a Nigerian national, Emmanuel Salako and a SIM Missionary from Louisville Kentucky Patrice Miles. Emma was an orphan who was raised in a orphanage and had a vision for a ministry to reach out to the orphans and widows in Egbe. Patrice and Lenny were on the ground helping revitalize the ECWA Hospital Egbe with SIM and Samaritans Purse. God joined them together and C.A.R.E. Africa was formed.
Our mission is to invest courage into the voiceless and exhausted. We do this through a home preservation program for our orphans. Currently we have 75 orphans all in family homes located in the town of Egbe, Nigeria. We provide an education, school supplies, medical treatment, discipleship, tutoring, food and provisions to all the orphans and care takers in our program. We also have an empowerment program to help the caretakers be able to one day stand on their own two feet.
C.A.R.E. Africa continues to grow. We are always looking for volunteers to join us in our ministry in Egbe, Nigeria.
